Mannerly Traditions is a non-profit organization that teaches manners and etiquette to children and adults. They specialize in the development of manners for individuals with neurodiversity and other disabilities. “It’s much more than please and thank you” says Moorestown resident Mary Louise Bianco aka Mrs. Manners. “George Washington is a man of firsts – not only was he the first president of the United States, but also the first person in America to write a book on manners when a young teenager – “First Rules of Civility & Decent Behavior in Company & Conversation.”
Mrs. Manners will travel back to colonial times to portray George’s mother, Mary Ball Washington. She will be joined by young George, played by Ivan Dean Dennisov, a Juilliard student and Moorestown High School senior. They will reminisce about the early years before George became President. Young George will entertain with patriotic songs and more. A buffet lunch will be served along with birthday cake. The Historical Society of Moorestown will have a mini museum on display. Re-enactors, Colonial costumes will bring good vibes! This unique celebration brings the past to the present! Says Bianco Smith, “The Mannerly Traditions team is thrilled to present this once in a lifetime event, and the fact that’s it’s being held on President Washington’s birthday is the cherry on top!”
