The Historical Society research library and archives collection comprises genealogical records, diaries, scrapbooks and manuscripts; church, cemetery, and bible records; over 450 books on local, county and state history, a postcard collection, a photo archive, a map file, a variety of audiovisual holdings, local school yearbooks, city directories and pamphlet files with information on Moorestown organizations, businesses, homes, families and buildings.IMG_3913 The research library is located on the second floor of the Smith-Cadbury Mansion and is free and open to the public every Tuesday from 1 to 4 pm and the second Sunday of each month from 1 to 3 pm. The library is closed during July and August. It is not a lending library but the copier can be used to reproduce items for 20 cents per page. The library offers digital reproduction services of photos in its collection for both business and personal use. Fee based scanning services are available for most photos. The staff reserve the right to deny scanning requests based on the condition of the materials, copyright concerns, and donor-imposed restrictions. Usage fees for images intended for commercial and non-profit purposes will also be assessed.
